Happy 4th of July and launch week of the 4th academy in La Limonada!
As you celebrate “liberty and justice for all” today, we hope you will also celebrate the justice you’ve helped extend to the children and families in the “15 de Agosto” neighborhood of La Limonada.
Yesterday, 38 children were welcomed for the first day of classes in the new academy! Vulnerable children who do not currently have access to one of the three existing academies will now be loved, fed, educated, discipled, and showered with God’s unconditional love.
In keeping with the joyful and hopeful theme of the fruits the first three academies are named after, the name of the fourth academy is Toronja, which translates to Grapefruit.
On July 10, a large group will gather to dedicate this new space. We hope you will follow along on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram as we celebrate and share what God has done through each of you. We also need your prayers as we ask for God’s continued hand and blessing on the work he has called us to. And as we search for sponsors for all of the children God has brought to this new door.
Enjoy the smiles and shouts in this video as Lizza says to the group of children and parents, “Today is the first day of the academy, are you happy??”
