This past weekend we had the privilege of sharing about the work of LI at two churches in the Manchester, NH area. On Sunday morning we were at Goffstown Harvest (where Cherie’s parents attend) and on Sunday Night we were at Pulse – the young adult church that is part of Shiloh (where Cherie’s sister and her family attend).
Many people showed a sincere interest in the lives of the people of La Limonada and the work Tita and her team are doing there. More kids were sponsored and there is a real possibility of taking a team of about 12 people from the area on a short-term trip to La Limonada in the coming year.
It is amazing to see how God connects us with people who have such a heart and passion for international justice issues as we travel to various places. They really want to make a difference in the lives of people who are caught in a cycle of poverty and hopelessness.
Thanks so much to Joe and the people of Goffstown Harvest and to Ed, Ben & Dave and the people of Pulse! We hope to meet up with all of you in Guatemala some day soon…
Here is the audio of the talk I gave at Pulse on Sunday night. It begins at 2:40. The audio of our short film is included and begins at 37:20 (and lasts for about 5 mins.). You can skip over it – it is only the audio of an instrumental song.
