It is our honor to announce two new additions to the Lemonade International Board Of Directors.
Todd Hiestand: Todd was introduced to Lemonade International in 2009 when he and Bill Cummings met at a conference in DC. They were drawn together because Todd and his wife Melanie adopted their second son from Guatemala. In 2010 Todd led a team from his church to La Limonada and confirmed their love for the amazing people of this community.
For the last nine years he has been the key organizational architect for The Well, an innovative non-denominational church in Lower Bucks County, Pennsylvania. In addition to being a pastor, Todd is a founding partner with MyOhai and has been the sole operator of 343design for the last 7 years. You can read Todd’s blog at: www.toddhiestand.com.
Kevin connected with Lemonade after his family visited La Limonada and began sponsoring a child in 2009. He helped lead a trip in 2010 and decided then that he must get involved at a deeper level. He is the owner of five franchised restaurants and a business consultant in Southwest Ohio. Kevin is particularly passionate about finding creative ways to resource and fund the work of Tita and her team in La Limonada. This past October his restaurants were able to raise $6000 in just 30 days to help start the Mi Casita Safe Home.
He and his wife Nona are parents to Allison (19) and Jake (16) and padrinos (godparents/sponsors) to Walter (Limon) and Maydelin (Mandrina).
Todd and Kevin will begin their tenure as members of the Lemonade International Board of Directors on January 1, 2011. We are thrilled that they have agreed to serve in this capacity. Their hearts for God and for the people of La Limonada, along with their knowledge, expertise and vision, will help us to make great strides in our partnership with Tita and the team in Guatemala.
