Thanks to funding from Carolina Microfinance Initiative at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, our microfinance program, El Fondo de Apoyo Comunitario (FAC: “The Community Empowerment Fund International”) is looking to expand by hiring a new Director.
The Director will be responsible for coordinating and representing operations in Guatemala, as well as leading a few borrower groups in La Limonada. Since the summer of 2010 FAC has partnered with entrepreneurial women in La Limonada to help them grow and develop existing businesses through education, savings, and small loans.
FAC is a young and vibrant program with much potential to change hundreds of lives in La Limonada. We are ready for an innovative leader to step in to help the program grow and expand in numbers and impact to further empower the people of La Limonada. We are hoping to find a young Guatemalan professional dedicated to social justice and poverty eradication.
