I am beyond thrilled to announce that I will be leading a group from here in Raleigh, NC to Guatemala, July 15-21, 2012! This will be my 5th trip and will be my first time going as an official staff member of Lemonade International.
Never have I spent time in this community and not learned something. It is amazing how much my heart has opened up to a new community, new friends and new ways to serve. I feel incredibly blessed that I am able to join with the people there again and serve in whatever ways are needed.
I am looking for nine people to join me on this trip. By joining me you will have an amazing opportunity to learn about each of the community development programs that are in place because of the work of Lemonade International. We will be engaging in lessons for multiple age ranges at both Schools, visiting the Communities of Faith, the Vocational Training program, the Micro-Enterprise program and the Safe Home. We will wrap up the trip on Friday with a day of reflection and relaxation in the ancient city of Antigua – where you will also have a chance to invest in the local Guatemalan economy by purchasing gifts and souvenirs.
This trip will give you insight into another culture and an opportunity to get to know the leaders and families in the La Limonada community. Our hope is that this experience will move your heart to the need to take action beyond the trip.
