I recently returned from a 10 day trip to La Lemonada. We had 19 members on this trip (our largest yet), and it was led by my son, Wyley Jenkins, Jr. HIs wife is Georgina (Georgie to us), and she is Tita's daughter. What a blessing this trip was. God used all of us in a might way. When we needed teachers, electricians, painters, nurses--God provided those on this trip. We spent three days at the old school teaching Bible schools in the morning and afternoon classes, and we did home visits which were truly God's touch in our lives. We went to the new school on the 4th day, and talked with the gang members, presenting the gospel message to them, and teaching their children at the new school. What a blessing to see the seeds we planted. Wyley, Jr. presented the salvation message to a large group of the gang, and it was amazing what we saw in their faces. Although they said they were not "ready" yet to accept Christ, we did plant the seed, and we are counting on God to water! On Friday, we went to Tita's house, where we painted 4 rooms, did repair work, and shared with each other. God is good! I am looking forward to the next trip (my 4th). Sharla Jenkins
Sharla, thanks so much for sharing about your time in La Limonada! I just had the opportunity to talk to Wyley on the phone a couple days ago and wanted to let you know you have a great son who is such an encouragement to us in the work God has put on our heart to do. I know it provides a huge boost to Tita to have him, Georgie and the kids there with her!
We also recently returned from a 10 day Mission Trip to La Limonada. Our team had 19 members all together consisting of 13 adults, 3 youth, and 3 children. God used each and every one of us with the different abilities that he gave us to use. Whether it be a teacher, nurse, electrician, translator, or just a caring person. God has a unique way of putting people together! Our Mission leader was Wyley Jenkins, Jr. who is married to Georgie the daughter of Tita. Our team spent the first 3 days at Tita's school "Vidas Plenas" there we taught the children Bible stories, memory verses, played games, made crafts, but most of all just showed them that we care about them and love them very much! We created so many life long bonds with the children and each other. In the afternoons we visited the homes of families in La Limonada to spread the word of God and to give them hope that there is someone that cares. The people of La Limonada touched our lifes just as much as we intended to touch theirs. Our 4th day in La Limonada we went to Tita's new school that has recently been established for the "Other Side". We also taught the children there as well and they were so loving. The new school will take time to establish just as the 1st one did but I truly encourage people to donate. The children there are still having to eat on the floor due to lack of tables. On our 5th day we went to Tita's and painted 4 rooms and did some repair work that she had not had in a long time. She is the one that started this amazing organization for these children therefore, we believe she is just as deserving as everyone that she helps. We are forever grateful that we were presented with the opportunity to go to La Limonada and it has forever changed our lifes. We will definitely be returning to Guatemala in the near future. We highly recommend Mission groups to go to La Limonada. You are helping all your brothers and sisters of the world it does not matter whether or not it is your country God created this world as one. We would also like to thank Bill Cummings and his team for what they do. You are all amazing individuals! God Bless! God is an awesome God!

Jerrel & Laura,
Thanks so much for sharing your experience and your hearts for La Limonada! It sounds like you had an amazing time there with Tita, her team and the children. That's so great that you were able to help Tita at her house too!
Let us know when you plan to be back in La Limonada.
